Show images above or next to your ads
Placing images above AdSense ads is not necessarily prohibited by program policies. However, depending on the method of implementation this could be considered encouraging users to click on ads. So you should include a border line between the ads and the images. Don't show specific products in your images, in order not to mislead the visitors. Just use generic images that will increase the visibility of your ads.

Maximize Adsense Revenues
As I have stated over and over again here, that content is KING. Good content will attract traffic to your site and some of those will click on your Adsense Ads giving you revenues. Good content means having multiple pages of content focussing on your chosen niche topic. These topics can be anything like babies, baby photos, pets, automobile tires or Adsense like mine. So the first step obviously is to find out your niche topic and then religiously post information on your website regularly. The benefits of having good content are many, some of them are:
If the visitor likes your content then the probability of him lingering on longer at your site is quite high and in the process he might click on those strategically placed ad units.
Search Engine spiders will crawl your site easily and more visitors will get to reach your pages.
If you have rich content, then most visitors will make it a point to revisit as reading all information in a single visit is not possible. The subsequent visits will also ensure a steady traffic. If your site has more data in the next visit your site might become a regular feature for many netizens.
This loyal set of visitors will then subscribe for the RSS feeds from the website and also recommend your site to their friends.
Other sites or blogs will link to your site to provide good content to their own readers.
Your site will as a consequent of the above will get a prominent rank in most popular search engines and therefore get even bigger traffic.
The key to create good content website is to get the attention of your reader and then provide him with good information in a lucid way to get his undivided attention for as long as possible. The main things to remember here are:
Write medium sized articles which the reader is able to read in about 5 minutes. But keep in mind that it should not be so short that it just gives an overview of the topic and the reader is forced to whet his hunger for knowledge in the field from another source. You will lose an potential regular reader this way every time a new won visits your site.
Create a bunch of articles around a topic covering all the aspects and allied subjects. This will provide information not only on the core subject but also cover allied subjects thereby, attracting even more visitors.
Categorize your articles and place the category list on the first page itself. This will make the job of a potential visitor easier as he does not have to sift through all your articles to search the ones he wants to read.
The content rich site thus created will be able to catch a lot of new visitors, but to get a loyal audience you will need to put up such good content on a regular basis. This will inturn result in a marked increase in your adsense revenues.
If you like the above write up then please do jot down your comments in the comments section and you can also subscribe to this site's RSS feed to get updates whenever a new article is added.

Adsense Tips and Tricks - Ask the Blogger
Still thinking to cheat AdSense? Stop that. It will never bring you anywhere. You might pull it off with smaller ads network, but definitely not with Google. Here are some detection methods they might use. At the very least, they have the resources to do so.
IP Address
If the AdSense click is originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your AdSense account, your account is flagged.
Cookies
Most home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don’t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer.
Other Google Services
Thinking that you are safe just because you do not access your AdSense account? Think again. This time, consider these: GMail, Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google Search, Google Toolbar, Google Talk, Google Sitemap, Google Desktop, Blogger, and so on, and so on. With the wide range of services they provide, Google can trace the originator of most (or probably almost all) clicks.
Click Pattern 1
Oh, why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?
Click Pattern 29pt; font-family: Tahoma;” lang=”EN-CA”>
And why is it that people accessing these sites direct (type-in URL or from bookmark) tend to be very active ad-clickers compared with those referred from search engine or other sites?
Click Pattern 3
And why the ad-clickers like to hit and run, compared with non ad-clickers that surf a few pages before leaving?
Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
Your CTR may range from 0.5% to 10%, but if it exceeds a certain point (probably around 10%), you are flagged.
Geo-Location
Used Urchin (Google Analytics) before? Then you should know that Google can trace traffics origin down to the small town. Different IP doesn’t mean much. Unless you site is really targetted to one small geo-point, a high number of clicks from nearby location will get you banned quickly.
Search Engine Ranking
Your website is not indexed on any search engine, not linked by any prominent website, but get consistently high traffic? That sounds like something is in play. Regardless of whether it is an adware-embedded software, spam, trojan clickbot, or intentionally installed click-exchange network, it doesn’t sound right.
Webpage design
How about the “click here” or “support us”? Google has the best search engine in the world. Is it really that hard to find those words?
Combo
Each of these detection methods might seem rather weak. But combine them together, and not many click-fraud can pass-through these filters. Even the smartest clickbot will have a hard time.

Avoid Getting Banned by Google
Google is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines, and become the indisputable leader in search engines from then until now. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.
For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.
So for those who are thinking of getting a long-term success with Adsense, you should not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.
Hidden texts
Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using CSS for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.
Page cloaking
There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.
Multiple submissions
Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.
Link farms
Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.
Page rank for sale
If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is ok to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.
Doorways
This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many SEO firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.
Multiple domains having the same content
In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.
Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites. Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Explaining CPC and CPM ads
For CPC ad (that is the Cost-per-click ad), you will get paid whenever there is a click on this kind of ad, provided that the click is valid. The CPC is the amount an advertiser pays each time a user clicks on his/her ad. In Google Adsense, most of the ads is CPC ads, and you will get paid when there is click on it. Most of them pay in a range from 0.01 to 2 dollars. However, I couldn’t say all text ads must be CPC ads. For CPM ad, it means Cost Per 1000 Impression. It is a kind of placement-targeted ads that the advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served. You will get paid whenever there are 1000 impressions for that CPM ad, but no the click on them. CPM ads compete against pay-per-click (or CPC, cost per click) ads in Google’s ad auction system, so only the highest performing ads will be served to your pages. So, you may wonder how you can check the earning performance of your CPM ads. Actually, the statistics (ad impression and clicks) of CPM ads will be shown together with that of CPC ads in general report in your account. Sometimes, you may notice that even though you’ve received impressions for CPM ads, you’re not displaying any earnings. No worry. This is because an advertiser may pay as little as $0.50 for each 1000 impressions of an ad. With each impression worth $0.0005, you could receive up to 9 ad impressions for total revenue of $0.0045 without any clicks or earnings appearing in your report. So, you may afraid your earning will be lost when it cannot come to a significant figure. No worry. Although Google will only show earning that is more than one cent, all the earning from impressions of CPM ads that is below one cents will be recorded and accumulated. It will then show whenever it reaches one cent. Since CPM ads are paid on the number of ad impression, the location of the CPM ads highly affect the overall earnings for you. For example, if you put your CPM ad on top of your site, you definitely receive more ad impression for that and have higher income, and vice versa. So next time, when you have a click but no earning, don’t be panic. It could be a click on a CPM ad for which you will not get any earning for that.
Advertisers will need to bid a higher CPM than the existing CPC ads in order to show. Both image ads and text ads can be paid on CPM basis, and both of them are always site-targeted. CPM text ads will expand to take up the entire ad unit. One thing that you should always bear in mind is that, for CPM ads, your earnings are associated with impressions only, rather than clicks. Google pays you each time a CPM ad is shown on your page, rather than when a user clicks on the ad and views the advertiser’s site. Again, it is hard to tell whether a specific ad unit is a CPM ad or not. Also, you cannot select only CPM/CPC ads to be displayed in your site.

Adsense Tips, Layout Optimization Tricks for Higher CTR
Google Adsense is perhaps the easiest way to attract advertisers from across the globe to your blog. Just submit your blog to Google for approval. If Google likes what it sees, it will place contextual ads linking to products likely to appeal to the readers. Each time a reader clicks a link, the advertiser pays Google a small fee, and Google splits that with you.
The next interesting question - How to Make Money with Google Adsense ? Here are The best Google Adsense Tips and Tricks for making more money (profit) from Google adsense program.
a. Strictly follow the rules mentioned in Adsense policies. You will always earn more revenue from Adsense by playing it clean.
b. Never modify the Google Adsense HTML code.
c. Don’t ask your friends or visitors to click on your Google ads. Do not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. Don’t label the Google ads with text other than “sponsored links” or “advertisements.”.
d. Don’t click on your own ads - Google is much smarter than you think. You should not reload your pages excessively. If you are testing your website layout with Google adsense, follow some precautions. Or you can use the unofficial Google Adsense Sandbox Tool that is accessible from Firefox, IE and other browsers to see what kind of Google ads will be served based on content (website address URL) or keywords.
e. Don’t place ads in pop-up windows, error pages or even empty pages.
f. Don’t start a “adsense asbestos” or “home equity loan rates” website merely to make money from accidental clicks (accidence). You will never make money out these “made-for-adsense-only” websites. Instead, write on topics what you are passionate about. Don’t waste your money on high-paying adsense keywords lists.
g. For short articles, CTR is best when ads are placed just above the content
h. For long articles, CTR improves if ads are placed somewhere in middle of the content - visitors read the long content and then they are looking for more resources.
i. Use Text Ads instead of Image Ads as users get more options. If you still want to display image ads, consider ad formats that support image ads - Choose either the 300×250 medium rectangle or the 160×600 wide skyscraper - or both, if you display multiple ad units on a page.
j. Google Ads without background color and borders always perform better. Make the border color and background color same as your page background color.
k. Always put ads above the main fold. Make sure that the ad unit with the highest clickthrough rate is the first instance of the ad code that appears in the HTML. Since the first ad unit is always filled before the rest, you want to make sure that ad unit is located in the best placement on your page.
l. Try setting the ad link URL color to a lighter shade. If your text is black, you may make the adlink as light gray.
m. Go Wide - The large rectangle is the best paying adsense format (336×280) - The Google Adsense Publisher team also feels that the best formats are the wider ones - the ad formats that contain the widest individual ads. Try using the 336×280 large rectangle, 300×250 medium rectangle, or 160×600 wide skyscraper.
n. Placing images next to ads or above ads does help in attracting user attention.
o. Blend AdLinks with other navigation links or place horizontal adlinks at the top of your webpage. AdSense publishers are permitted to click on link unit topics on their web pages, provided that they do not click on any Google ads on the resulting page.
p. Organize an Adsense Party for your friends and colleagues - Request them to navigate your website, watch their activity - it will provide vital clues about which regions on your website draw more user attention. Try putting ads near those areas
q. You can put upto 3 adsense units on a page. Try putting a large skyscraper on the right navigation sidebar of your website. That area is close to the browser scrollbar. You can also add 2 AdSense for search boxes, 1 adlink unit and 1 referral button per product (i.e., 1 AdSense referral button and 1 Firefox plus Google Toolbar referral button).
r. The first few lines of your content are an important factor for determining what Ads are served on your webpage. That’s the right place to put keywords in bold (strong or tags) or header tags (h1, h2, etc).
s. Always select the setting to open Google Adsense search box results in a new browser window, so you won’t lose your visitors. Click the Open search results in a new browser window checkbox and this add target=”google_window” to your form tag.
t. Maximum people think the search box is on the top right corner. So you know where to put it.
u. Don’t syndicate full content. If people can read everything from the newsreader window itself, why would they visit your website where your ads are.
v. Use URL channels to determine performance of individual pages. I track my most popular pages with Google Analytics, Statcounter and create a channel for each of the URL. You can even track Adsense Clicks with Analytics
w. For low CTR pages, try changing titles or adding more content to get better focused ads
x. Block low paying advertisers with Filters. Why to loose a visitor for 0.01 cents. Use Overture or Google Adwords Keywords tool to discover keywords that are less popular with advertisers.
y. The AdSense for search Top Queries report shows you what your users are looking for, by listing the 25 most common searches conducted through your AdSense for search boxes. Use this report to identify additional topics to add to your site, or to keep track of your most sought-after information. Focus and improve that content.
z. Not everyone has a RSS reader. Use RSS to Email services like FeedBlitz, Bloglet or Rmail to let users subscribe to your blog by email.
Remember, you are the best judge when it comes to choosing ad formats. Even Google doesn’t offer the best advise always. For instance, in the visual heat map, Google suggests that webmasters are best served by positioning ads on the upper left-hand side of a Web page. But on the Google homepage, you will find ads on the far right.
AdSense is one of the best tools you can use to draw dollars to your site. Remember that there is no easy way to make money on Adsense… it takes a lot of work. Adsense publishers on blogspot.com can integrate Adsense directly from Blogger Interface.
Yahoo Publisher Network YPN and Chitika eMiniMalls offer interesting Adsense alternatives. You can use this free online Sandbox tool to compare Google Adsense, Chitika eMiniMalls and Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) Program.
Enter any keywords or a website address (URL), choose a geographic location (for Google), customize ad colors or choose from an existing color set and click “Udate Ads Display”. You can try the Adsense, YPN or Chitika Services without signing up for any of these services.

Lot of adsense users receive large number of clicks with low earning
Lot of adsense users receive large number of clicks with low earning
here are some reasons and how to solve this problem
1-Low paying keywords : is the most common reason, you might build a site about something you love, but you find that your keywords are not paying well…
Solution : really I find building a blog or site about something you like is much more better than building a site for adsense , if still haven’t built your site yet try to find high paying keywords here
If you have built your site already, you have not got much to do , try to make other pages on your site with high paying keywords.
2-Low paying ads : now there is a lot of sites that pay very low per click
Solution : Filter these sites using competitive ad filter is adsense setup, there is no such list for these sites , for every site there are certain ads that appear , you should try to filter sites that pay low , usually these sites appear more often , so try start with them to filter , change your filter list and try to notice the change per click
3-Visitors : Adsense higher for clicks from Europe and USA
because they are the internet buyers
Solutions : try to attract USA and European visitors
4-Your site language : ads appear according to language
Solution : best is english
5-Your site : every site has a rank and Google adsense earnings and ads that are displayed on your site depend on its rank
Solution : try to get a high rank and put genuine content , wait…site aging and continuity is a factor.

US recession affect Adsense earnings badly?
This would be a very bad situation for Affiliate Marketers as well. Personally I have never braced through a recession in online marketing before. Has anybody ever went through a recession and how has it affected your online businesses? If you have not, what do you think might happen in the upcoming months?
I am also thinking ways of how to sustain daily revenue during the probable recession. Any ideas?
